New Coach for the Ice Girls

Amanda Simmons, figure skating coach and Anaheim Ducks Power Player, brings experience and vision to a young squad.

USC Ice Hockey is honored to announce the addition of Amanda Simmons as the new USC Ice Girls coach for the upcoming 2011-2012 season.

Coach Amanda is an experienced and accomplished figure skater, having competed for seventeen years, passed her seniors ladies test with US Figure Skating, and completed the Ice Skating Institute's Freestyle 8 level. She has worked directly with the president of figure skating in Thailand to help develop their national program, and currently she coaches young skaters out of Ice Chalet in Palos Verdes, CA.

Additionally, Amanda is a fourth-year veteran of the Power Players squad from the NHL's Anaheim Ducks, official partner of USC Ice Hockey.
